Prepositions
Words which tell the position of nouns or pronouns are known as prepositions.
They tell the relation of one to another.
For example
1) The dog is under the tree.
2) The cat is behind the door.
3) The boys are playing in the playground .
In the above sentences the words under,behind and in tell us the position of nouns.

HOMOPHONES AND HOMONYMS
The words which are pronounced same but have different spellings and meanings are called homophones.
